Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from visiting the Grand Canyon South Rim?
The South Rim is the Grand Canyon most people know, with paved overlooks, tour buses, and summer crowds. This tour takes you into the remote North Rim backcountry by UTV, through Kaibab National Forest to secluded canyon viewpoints most visitors never reach. It’s quieter, more raw, and above 8,000 feet in elevation.
Do I need experience driving a UTV?
No experience necessary. Your guide walks you through everything before you head out. You’ll drive your own machine and follow the guide at a group pace the whole way.
How physically demanding is the tour?
The tour includes a couple of short hikes, so closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothes are recommended. The UTV handles the terrain, and you don’t need to be an athlete, but being comfortable on uneven ground helps. Guests with mobility concerns can call in advance with any questions. We provide water, though bringing extra is always a good idea in the heat.
