Frequently Asked Questions
Do we drive our own UTV?
Yes! We expect guests to drive their own UTV and follow the guide unless requested otherwise. Drivers must be 21+ with a valid license and a credit card on file. If you'd prefer not to drive, let us know!
How are UTVs booked, and how big are the groups?
UTVs are booked per machine (1-2, 3-4, or 5-6 seats), not per person. Group sizes are small, with a max of 3 UTVs plus a guide (around 12 people).
When and where does the tour start?
The start time changes throughout the year based on sunset. Tours run Monday–Saturday (closed Sundays). Meet at Expedition Kanab headquarters in central Kanab, and arrive 15 minutes early for check-in.
What should we bring?
Wear closed-toe shoes (required for drivers) and comfortable hiking clothes. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and a light jacket. We provide helmets, goggles, and sandboards.
